As featured in the first book, Anatomy of a Ghost, the Paranormal Rockstars series are based on three men that attempted to  to research the paranormal field using scientific methodlogies. Henry Sidgwick, F.W. Myers and Edmund Gurney,  were the fathers of modern paranormal research. Together they founded the Society for Psychical Research in 1882.  The SPR was the first organization to look at paranormal phenomena from a scientific perspective. Some of the greatest minds of the day were members, sometimes to the detriment of their careers. 
 
Frederic William Henry Myers (F.W. Myers,) was a British poet, classicist, philologist, and a founder of the Society for Psychical Research. Myers' work on psychical research and his ideas about a "subliminal self" were influential in his time.  Be the only one in town with a Myers T-shirt.
