Rockstars of the Paranormal - Edmund Gurney
As highlighted in the first book, Anatomy of a Ghost, Edmund Gurney was one of the original founders of the Society for Psychical Research Group, the very first group that took paranormal research into the realm of the scientific.
Be the only one in town with a Gurney T-shirt. This unique T-shirt series honors the work of Henry Sidgwick, F.W. Myers and Edmund Gurney, who were the fathers of modern paranormal research. Together they founded the Society for Psychical Research in 1882. These distinguished gentlemen studied the paranormal using scientific methodologies. This took a lot of courage, as many of their esteemed members learned the hard way. The scientific community was, and still is, very skeptical of paranormal research, and many SPR members risked their reputations and sometimes their careers in pursuit of the unknown.
Gurney was a gentleman scholor who dedicated much of his life to paranormal research. He was instrumental in compiling the two book series, "Phantasms of the Living," a compilation of case studies in what we (in the modern world) would normally refer to as Crisis Apparitions.
